Ikalto Winery - Cabernet

Origin: Ikalto Winery is rooted in the Kakheti region — home to the ancient Ikalto Monastery and Academy, one of Georgia's great centres of medieval scholarship. The winery draws on this deep cultural heritage, producing wines from the finest Kakhetian terroir.

Grape Variety: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown in the Kakheti region. Here, the warm continental climate and mineral-rich soils bring Cabernet to full, generous ripeness while preserving firm structure and character.

Taste Profile: Dark cherry with a purple hue. Tones of ripe red fruit, cherry, black pepper, and dark chocolate on the nose. Full-bodied, extractive, and assertive on the palate — medium acidity, balanced taste, and a long, satisfying finish.

Craftsmanship: Classic European winemaking from hand-selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. A 2019 vintage — giving this wine five years of development in bottle, adding complexity and a rounded, mature character.

Serving Suggestions: Serve at 14–16°C with baked stuffed goose, Georgian cuisine, grilled red meats, and dry or aged cheeses.
