Ziari - Saperavi
75cl | 13% | Ziari — Wine of Georgia | Red Dry
Description
Origin: 100% Saperavi from Ziari village in the Gurjaani district of Kakheti — a highland micro-terroir that lends Saperavi an unusually aromatic delicacy and refinement. Fermented in Qvevri, then finished in oak for added nobility and depth.
Grape Variety: Saperavi — Kakheti's great indigenous red grape, here expressing a softer, more fragrant side thanks to Ziari's elevated terroir and careful winemaking.
Taste Profile: Intense pomegranate in the glass. Floral notes, warm spice, and ripe dark fruit on the nose. On the palate — velvety and balanced, with round oak-softened tannins, bright acidity, and a long, clean finish.
Details
Craftsmanship: Traditional Qvevri fermentation followed by oak barrel aging — a layered approach that brings both Georgian authenticity and refined structure. Wild yeasts; no additives.
Serving Suggestions: Serve at 16–18°C. Pairs beautifully with grilled meats, walnut-based Georgian dishes, spiced stews, and aged cheeses.
