  • Description

Origin: Inspired by a hedonistic philosophy, Kiskisi wines are crafted to awaken the senses and embody joy and the pursuit of indulgence — turning every occasion into a celebration. This Mtsvane Qvevri is sourced from the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, the heartland of traditional qvevri winemaking.

Grape Variety: 100% Kakhuri Mtsvane, one of Georgia's most expressive indigenous white grape varieties. Mtsvane is an indigenous white grape used to make Georgian amber wines, celebrated for its aromatic complexity and its ability to develop remarkable depth through skin-contact fermentation.

Taste Profile: This amber wine offers aromas of ripe quince, peach, and white plum, followed by hints of spice. The full-bodied palate is characterised by velvety tannins and a long, warming finish — a wine of real texture and character.

Craftsmanship: Fermented in traditional Qvevri clay vessels buried underground, where the juice is left on skins for an extended period, developing the wine's amber colour, structure, and depth. This ancient method, practised in Georgia for over 8,000 years, was declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013.

Serving Suggestions: Best served cool rather than fully chilled. Pairs beautifully with cheese, salads, and light-meat dishes. Also excellent alongside roasted poultry, spiced dishes, and charcuterie, where its tannic structure and aromatic complexity truly come alive.
