  • Description

Origin: Vazisubani Estate dates back to the 19th century, tracing its roots to one of Georgia's most storied family lines — the Chavchavadzes. Meticulously restored over the last decade, the estate sits at 500 metres elevation on the right bank of the Alazani River in the Kakheti region, widely regarded as producing the finest grapes in all of Georgia. The sandy clay and bedrock terroir and favourable climate of the Alazani Valley make it ideal for Georgia's most celebrated indigenous white varieties.

Grape Variety: 100% Rkatsiteli — Georgia's most common and widely planted white grape variety, with DNA evidence tracing it back at least 5,000 years as one of the earliest cultivated wine grapes in the world. It produces wines with good structure, high acidity, and fruity, spicy and floral aromas.

Taste Profile: Restrained and refreshing, with crisp green-apple flavours and hints of quince and white peach. Vinified in the classic European style, this is a clean, precise, and elegantly structured dry white — bright acidity woven through a palette of fresh orchard fruit, citrus zest, and delicate floral notes.

Craftsmanship: Fermented and aged in stainless steel, temperature controlled, in the classic European style, resulting in a crisp, refreshing dry white wine. Grapes are hand-picked and farmed using organic practices and lutte raisonnée — the French philosophy of minimal, reasoned intervention in the vineyard. Winemaker Lado Uzunashvili, an 11th-generation winemaker with international recognition, oversees every stage of production.

Serving Suggestions: Wonderful alongside seafood, grilled fish, salads, soft cheeses, and light poultry dishes. Also a natural partner for spiced Georgian fare and vegetable-based dishes. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C.
