  • Description

Origin: Winiveria has been producing wines since 2014, offering wines made by both traditional Kakhetian Qvevri technology and classic European methodology, with a mission to promote distinguished Georgian grape varieties and boost the reputation of Georgian wine on the international market. This Tvishi comes from the legendary Tvishi PDO micro-zone in the Lechkhumi region of western Georgia.

Grape Variety: 100% Tsolikouri — the only grape variety permitted under the Tvishi PDO. Vineyards in the Tvishi micro-zone sit at elevations between 400 and 600 metres above sea level, on primarily humus-carbonate soils on the right bank of the Rioni River in the Tsageri district. Tvishi holds the distinction of being the sole white semi-sweet PDO in all of Georgia.

Taste Profile: A pale wine with a greenish tint and subtle scents of honeysuckle and apricots. Delicately sweet yet kept fresh and appealing by zesty acidity, with a long aftertaste that brings back the floral and fruity aromas. Elegant, harmonious, and utterly distinctive.

Craftsmanship: Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks; naturally semi-sweet, with residual sugar retained naturally during fermentation rather than through any additives. The PDO for Tvishi was officially registered in 2007, though the winemaking tradition in this micro-zone has deep historical roots, recognised for producing high-quality wines for centuries. Gvinico

Serving Suggestions: A wonderful companion to soft cheeses, tropical fruits, citrus desserts, light pastries, and dark chocolate. Also pairs beautifully with chicken and fish dishes. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C.
