Drunk Zodiacs - Leo Khikhvi

Origin: Bold, fiery Leo gets the most commanding wine in the Drunk Zodiacs collection — a Qvevri-aged Khikhvi amber from Kakheti. Confident, generous, and made for celebrations, just like the sign itself. Produced by Cooperative Ruispiri in Telavi.

Grape Variety: 100% Khikhvi — one of Georgia's rarest and most prized ancient white varieties, known for its spiced, exotic aromatics and remarkable depth. Aged in traditional buried Qvevri clay vessels with extended skin contact, producing a striking amber wine of real character.

Taste Profile: Warm golden-amber in the glass. Notes of dried peach and white cherry preserve on the nose, with spice and floral undertones. On the palate — balanced tannins, a refined, generous structure, and a long finish that commands the room.

Craftsmanship: Traditional Qvevri fermentation with skin contact — the ancient Georgian method recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Wild yeasts; minimal intervention. Leo deserves nothing less.
