  • Description

Origin: Blue Tie is a boutique Georgian producer sourcing from the Badiauri micro-terroir within the Sagarejo district of Kakheti — one of eastern Georgia's most prized wine-growing zones, celebrated for producing some of the finest amber Rkatsiteli in the country.

Grape Variety: 100% Rkatsiteli — Georgia's most iconic white grape, whose name means "red stem" in Georgian, a nod to its distinctive reddish stalks. Amber Rkatsiteli is the most traditional expression of this grape in Kakheti, fermented in Qvevri with grape skins and stems, yielding wines of deep amber hue and extraordinary complexity.

Taste Profile: Rich aromas of dried flowers, quince, ripe apricots, and honey, with earthy mineral undertones. Full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a long, structured finish. A wine that drinks with the weight of a red but glows like liquid gold.

Craftsmanship: Made using the ancient Kakhetian Qvevri method — grapes including skins, stalks, and pips are fermented in buried clay vessels and aged on the skins for several months, lending the wine its deep amber colour. Only naturally occurring wild yeasts are used, with no additives or filtration. This 8,000-year-old tradition is recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Serving Suggestions: Serve cool at 12–14°C. Pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, aged cheeses, walnut-based Georgian dishes, spiced stews, grilled poultry, and charcuterie. Bold enough to stand up to the richest flavours on the table.
