Lento Winery - Kisi Mtsvane

Origin: Lento Winery, a boutique Georgian producer, crafts this elegant white dry blend from the vineyards of Kakheti — Georgia's premier wine region, where sunny, well-drained slopes and a continental climate provide ideal conditions for indigenous white varieties. 

Grape Variety: A blend of two of Kakheti's most celebrated native whites: Kisi and Kakhuri Mtsvane. Kisi is a native Georgian grape of remarkable versatility — its classic dry wines are known for their crisp and bright character, featuring a medium body and delightful aromas of flowers, citrus fruits, apples, pears, and peaches. Kakhuri Mtsvane, early to ripen, is light-bodied but full of character with distinctive aromas — characterised by hints of vineyard peach, fruit tree blossoms, and mineral overtones.

Taste Profile: This pale straw-coloured wine is fresh and subtle, rich with notes of early peaches and tropical fruit. Kisi wines show floral aromas and flavours of tree fruit — apples and pears — often so intense that the wine, though quite dry, seems off-dry. Mtsvane adds a lively aromatic lift, weaving together citrus blossom and stone fruit into a seamless, refreshing finish.

Craftsmanship: Kisi naturally accumulates sugar while maintaining balanced acidity, allowing for expressive dry wines without losing freshness. Vinified in the classic European style, this blend preserves the bright aromatics and crisp character of both varieties, with careful temperature-controlled fermentation to capture their delicate floral and fruit profiles.

Serving Suggestions: European-style Kisi wines, with their crisp acidity and floral notes, complement salads, seafood, and cheeses. Also wonderful alongside grilled poultry and light pasta dishes. Serve chilled at 10–12°C.
